Elanco’s $130M Investment Brings 70 New Jobs to Elwood, Kansas

Team Kansas is excited to share in the recent Kansas Commerce announcement that Elanco Animal Health Inc. is investing $130 million to expand its manufacturing facility in Elwood, Kansas. This expansion is set to create 70 new jobs in Doniphan County over the next two years, marking yet another milestone in Kansas’s growing reputation as a top destination for business expansion.

Elanco’s expansion is strategically located within the KC Animal Health Corridor, which is home to over 300 animal health companies. This corridor represents 56% of total worldwide animal health, diagnostics, and pet food sales, making it the largest concentration of animal health companies globally.

The hard work of the Kansas Department of Commerce team continues to pay off, as more companies recognize the unparalleled opportunities Kansas offers. We’re proud to see Elanco joining the ranks of businesses that are thriving in our state, contributing to both local employment and global innovation.

“Sitting in the heart of the Animal Health Corridor, Kansas is a powerhouse in this critical sector – attracting companies from across the nation and around the world,” Lieutenant Governor and Secretary of Commerce David Toland said. “Elanco is an excellent example of the top-notch employers the Kelly-Toland administration is committed to partnering with as we grow the state’s economy.”

Kansas is not just a great place to live and work—it’s where industry leaders choose to grow and succeed. We look forward to supporting Elanco and other companies as they continue to make Kansas their home.
